Poundwise, just out of curiosity, why did you move the list to the middle of the thread?

When a thread has multiple pages, this shows up as 1, 2, 3.. Last Page.

Most people will click on 'Last Page' if they are following a thread. So, rather than have the list and then 3 or 4 pages of discussion following, I moved the list to the top of the current 'Last Page.'

Of course, there is a link from the top of the first page to the list, for anyone who does start there.

Ok, the problem is as new pages get added, you're going to have to keep moving the list -- which causes more work for you and also renders direct links to the list obsolete.

I realized the 'more work' part and didn't mind. But, I failed to consider that people would bookmark the page for reference. I think what I'll do is move the list back to page one and then simply link back to it from update posts. I can also put a link in my signature.

              Thanks for the advice.

Cool. By the way, thanks for all the work to keep this up to date.

FYI. Amboy Direct now offers a $25 bonus ($10 for the referrer) for its Premium Savings. Info

I appreciate the kind words Sweeps.

I was glad to see the Amboy referral program, having recently opened an Amboy Premium account for my parents, however, the stipulation that the referred person has to maintain a minimum balance of $3,000 for 90 days kind of kills my enthusiasm.

                    Update: Wednesday, August 30

Capital One (High Yield) MMA rate was lowered from 5.00% APY to 4.80% APY.

Capital One is due to launch a new version of its online banking in September. It may be worth watching to see if they offer a higher rate and/or special offers in conjunction with that launch.

There is also a Capital One Money Market offered for Costco members. It's probably not eligible for your list but I thought I'd mention it. 5.14% APY. $5K minimum to open, but minimum balance is only $100. Link

This seemed a little odd to me. Last week UFBDirect jumped to the top of the list by offering a new rate of 5.26% APY. This week, they have already reduced the rate, though not by much, to 5.20% APY. That puts OneUnited back on top, in terms of rate, still offering 5.25% APY.

No other rate changes this update: September 3, 2006

I wonder how long the execs spent discussing this huge increase decision.

I expect it is just enough to keep die-hard ING clients thinking that maybe ING is going to start raising the rate.
