How to Know the Kind of Bed You Want?

October 24th, 2019 at 05:48 PM by lenaburkut

We all are one as humans but we all are unique in terms of body type, culture, geography, and sleeping pattern. An individuals’ sleep quality depends on mental status and the body comfort one gets from the bed. Your mattress and bed must be in sync and harmony with your body type. Your mattress must fit your size, height, weight, and posture.

If you are struggling to get sound-sleep you must consult your doctor and seek his advice regarding the mattress and bed type. Your...

More Progress...

October 24th, 2019 at 04:43 PM by crazyliblady

So, I realized today that I can send more money to cc #1, so I sent more.

I am also depositing funds to the car tax/aaa savings, escrow savings, and tax preparation savings.

This completes my savings and debt payoff goals for this month, but because I still have some money left, I will be sending more soon.

Visit: Part Two

October 24th, 2019 at 03:35 PM by Treeluva

So. My husband stopped by a restaurant last night on the way back from the airport to pick up some grub. He called and asked me to put in tater tots.

I thought to myself, this won't be too bad. He's getting some bar-b-que and we are doing some sides at home - no biggie.

Then I check the bank account and realize that this man spent $118 dollars at the restaurant.

Now, you might be thinking, "yeah, but that is for 9 people - not too bad" - except it was $118 for ONE BRISKET...

No Movement

October 24th, 2019 at 01:33 PM by CB in the City

Nothing from the insurance company yesterday, so I'm assuming they have not yet looked at the car.

I'm going to babysit the boys this evening, but I do not have to take them to music lessons, which are cancelled. I assume that is because DS & DIL need the car for their event. I'm going to walk over there after school, give the boys dinner, supervise homework, and put them to bed. They have asked for sliders for dinner. I don't have any ground beef, but I'll take over some...

We Were Boozed!

October 24th, 2019 at 12:17 PM by Creditcardfree

We are living on base and our circle of probably 50 homes is playing that game where you drop off a basket of alcohol (thus the term boozed) for Halloween. We were boozed last night. I'm not sure I'm really a fan. This sort of reminds me of the pressure to do work gift exchanges. The Facebook post said there would be instructions to opt out if you were boozed, but don't want to participate. That was not the case. Only instructions on how to pass it along, which I guess technically...

Receipt Hog and Other Stuff

October 23rd, 2019 at 11:40 PM by Amber

My co-worker was heading to the store 🏬 , I asked her to buy me a Coke 🥤 and gave her cash. She comes back with two 8 pack Cokes 🥤 and tells me they were BOGO. Well after looking at the receipt 🧾 the items were not BOGO. So I’ll be letting her know today. Why not just buy what I asked you? But it’s my fault because I had no business buying.

Anyway, I logged into Receipt Hog 🐷 and noticed I leveled up so I got an extra 175 points, that allowed me to cash out...

DD Update and Ordered Sweaters on Sale

October 23rd, 2019 at 10:57 PM by Lucky Robin

The doctor wants to remove my daughter's liver tumor, but we have to go down to Seattle to have it done. He wanted to send us to the UW, but I explained the problems we've had with the doctors there and the identity theft stemming from their hack. I asked about Virginia Mason instead and he was happy to do that. They have a good hepatology department.

He said the issue is the steroids that she has to be on for the rest of her life for secondary adrenal insufficiecy will continue...

Good Living

3rd times the charm

October 23rd, 2019 at 10:35 PM by Good Living

So the house went back on the market on 10/11 and we ended up with one really low ball offer which we countered up and then a second one a day later so we could call for highest and best which resulted in a purchase agreement. We expect the close date first week in December. It's not as good as the first one and frankly, I forget the amount of the second one. I just really hope this one goes through. I'm going to be holding my breath until it's finalized. I really do want to get...

$20K Update - Received Insurance Check for Hail Damaged Roof

October 23rd, 2019 at 09:12 PM by Banker Gurl

We had hail damage to the roof on Rental #2. Our home insurance covered it and sent us a check for $6994.45. We put it into savings, but since it is being held by the bank until we actually work on the roof, I am not adding it to the savings totals yet. We won't even think about doing the roof until next spring as we live in the Midwest and it is already cold and snowy.

I won football picks last week and won $60! MO won this week, but we haven't gotten his check yet, so...

Nothing is ever simple - appliance issue

October 23rd, 2019 at 05:33 PM by Steve

We bought a new dishwasher last week. They came yesterday to install it. The guy took half a step into the kitchen and said, "I can tell you right now it won't fit." We have a ceramic tile floor and there is a drop off at the end of the tiles to the floor where the dishwasher sits. It's been like that since we bought the house 25 years ago. This will be the 3rd dishwasher going into the exact same space. Previous installers thought the same thing and then proceeded to install it...

More of the Same

October 23rd, 2019 at 12:07 PM by CB in the City

Not much to report. I had several calls from the insurance company yesterday. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, because they are asking questions I've already answered. Mainly, they are trying to go after the other party to pay for repairs, and they will have to get that information from the police report. When I joined the scene, the driver was in handcuffs and yelling at the police, so I was hardly going to go up to her and say, "Hi, could I have your...

Entertainment Center is Here!

October 23rd, 2019 at 12:15 AM by crazyliblady

Here's a shocker. We order an entertainment center on Friday. We expected it to take the usual 7-10 days shipping time to get here. When I got home from work tonight, it was on the porch. That's fast! The resl test is going to be putting it together. LOL

Small DIY success

October 22nd, 2019 at 11:02 PM by Steve

Okay, this one may sound lame but I still count it as a success.

We were in Lowe's last week buying a new dishwasher. As we were walking through the store, we passed the aisle with the 4-foot long workshop light fixtures like many people have in unfinished basements or garages. We have 3 in our basement. One barely works and one hasn't worked at all for ages. I just never bothered to do anything about it.

Ours have 48" fluorescent tubes. Now they are all LED which is nice....

I bought a large lot of fall/winter clothes online back in April and am finally getting around to logging it! A Razor Story

October 22nd, 2019 at 07:50 PM by Creditcardfree

Over a year ago I found a deal on the razor blades my husband likes. He only started using them in the last six months, and recently mentioned he didn't think they were good. He said he kept cutting himself. Darn, maybe they sell production seconds off in bulk for less?

He had seen those Harry's razors at Target awhile back and seemed intrigued, but was still using up the bad batch of razors. I should clarify the blades worked, but wouldn't last as long before he started cutting...
