  • Cashwalk: Earn coins by walking

A friend just told me about an app called Cashwalk. It awards you coins for all the steps you take in a day. It's not a lot but they add up. You can also get coins by watching ads and clicking on websites. Small potatoes, but something to make a few cents when I'm in line at the post office or waiting to pick my kids up from somewhere. Cashout is in the form of giftcards and I reached a $5 gift card in 3 days. I can share a code with a referral bonus if anyone is interested. But the main point of this post is to share the information.

Made $18 on this app in March, redeemed in gift cards to Amazon and Dunkin’ (I needed a coffee when I was away from home).

Piping up with a late comment...I tried sweatcoin, used it for a year...and at the end of the year I had a bunch of sweatcoins, but nothing to buy them with. My basic conclusion was: sweatcoins are worthless.

I'll have to get the details from my friend. He does run one that pays some type of coin which can be used to buy another coin which can be sold. I think he makes around $80 a month on it. It's not worth it in my opinion, but not completely worthless. I'll get the details and post next week.

Okay - that would be of interest. Looking forward to your update.

The application he is using is called Coin. In the app store, it is listed as "COIN: Always Be Earning" by XY Labs, Inc.

Last year, he traded his earnings in for $1400. So it's a little more than $100 per month.

I've downloaded the app to play with. I still fail to see what real value is being generated from it. For the moment, I am putting it in the bucket of "if something is free, then you're the product".

At least in part there are surveys you can take in the app. They show you a series of ads, then you describe what the ad meant to you.

What value is generated from the other parts, I still don't know.

I also use the app sMiles, through which you can earn some coin, but I have been doing it for months, and am still far from earning anything.

Cashwalk is slow, but reliable for a $5 on Amazon every once in a while.

I tried these...in particular sweatcoin, but found they were basically worthless.
