So, I'm in a situation where I need to make more money than I am now. Everyone tells me "you need to make more money" which I already know, but nobody can really tell me HOW do I make more money? I would get a higher paying job if I could, but I haven't been able to find anything that pays more than my current job (I work as a secretary for a local real estate office). So, what exactly do I need to do to make more money? Is there a step by step plan that I could follow, or do I have to figure it all out on my own without any help? Everyone makes it sound so easy, but it isn't, and I'm becoming very frustrated. So, does anyone know what things I need to do to make more money?

If that isn't an option, what about getting a second job? Deliver newspapers in the morning before work. Deliver pizzas at night after work. Walk dogs. Mow lawns. Babysit children. Check in members at a gym. Answer phones at a local business.
Do you have any marketable skills or hobbies that you can monetize? My wife started sewing and quilting about a year ago and has sold dozens of handmade items since then just through word of mouth to friends. She's doing her first craft show this weekend. I've sold collectibles on ebay for years, often reselling items I bought at yard sales, flea markets, thrift shops, and auctions.
There are always ways to make more money. It just takes some time, effort, and creativity.Steve
* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Often the easiest way to have more money is to spend less of what you earn now.
I once heard an analogy that said that every dollar that you save is worth two dollars earned. The point was that earning money takes time, effort, and thought. Saving money is simply inaction. Just don't spend it and you'll have more.Brian

Make room in the budget to cut down on whatever you can for sure.
Have you ever thought about cleaning houses maybe. You would have an advantage because of where you work. Detailing cars can be a good side job if you can market it.
I was always a paycheck to paycheck guy prior to meeting my wife. I got rid of all my debt and made a budget. Now I know where my money(the bank owned me) went and it wont happen again

OP, you don't want to get involved in a MLM to make extra money. It's both a waste of time and money.

Recycle your way to some extra cash!
Ask some of your neighbors for their cans and bottles to help you out. Most will be glad to drop off a bag or have you come pick them up. I have several neighbors that swing a bag of recyclables over every few weeks and trust me, it adds up at 5 cents a pop!
*Make sure you have sufficient storage to keep your bags of recyclables before taking them in for cash. And don't let them sit too long - they can start to smell with too much heat and bugs will start to invade....
Happy collecting everyone!!

Craigslist your unwanted bulkier items
Looking to make a few extra bucks??
For bulkier items that would not work to ship to Ebay customers, go to Craigslist, setup an account if you do not already have one, then post to your local area and a few surrounding areas where people are likely to drive from to come pick up your items. You will have a wide variety of categories to choose from to for your item listing. Sometimes narrowing the search can help those really wanting your item to find it a bit easier and faster. I've sold an old vintage bicycle, a kitchen table, super nice bedroom furniture and few other random items from Craigslist. Everyone I've sold to has been super nice, friendly and easy to work with and were more than willing to meet up at my chosen destination to pick up their purchases and pay was never a problem. Be ready to haggle a bit with Craigslist users, but if it means making a few extra bucks and getting rid of some unwanted stuff, I say it's worth it and go for it! Feel free to ask me any questions!!
Happy selling and earning!

Do you have any spare time to spend after coming from office? If yes, look something which you can do from home. Know what interests you, make a list and think how can you make those hobbies into products and services which you can sell and earn a few bucks. Nothing is difficult.

If you can still spend time and energy for a second time, maybe you can go for it. If there are things that you can sell like used books, you can have a garage sale or sell those stuffs online. If you have other skills, maybe you can use that to earn some like if you are good in art.
