I love his story and am glad for his success!

Where is it? I always stop at those and give the kids way more than they are asking, usually $1 for a $.25 glass to help inspire them to do it again.

My 2 daughters want to do it and we will next summer. At this point I am walking them thru the process of a business plan, financing, and so on. What happens on a rainy day? No profits, and losses if you pay overhead.

Lemonade stands are a phenomenal way to teach kids about business and budgeting. Properly priced, high quality lemonade allows you to turn a profit and be able to make the next batch of lemonade.

Web design is my next hope for them to want to do. It costs so little yet can be so profitable and teaches basic business skills.

My hope for them is not to make a million necessarily, just open their eyes to believing they can do anything they want if they have the will to do it and support.

Ima, you have started a fabulous thread. Woe betide the person who tells me: its impossible.
I learnt it from my mom who
      1)went to school full time
      2) taught/worked
      3) raised kids
      4) did all the housework by herself.
Now I am feeling ashamed for having sat around all my life. I want to learn some thing: I sart today!
Thanks to this post, I will do better.
      I just know it.
My husband did not have money for textbooks and shoes. He earned scholarships to one of the best schools for Statistics and Computing.
I, for my part, went to school with no financial help %100 scholar ship for 80% of the time: for an interdisciplinary field.
Then I was hired by one of the premier research institutes.
Once there I proved to everyone that the word impossible does not exist, only, a certain price has to be considired before embarking on difficult projects!
Today , if I am working from home , its only for my family and I cannot do anything until i move!
But still, Farrah has changed the way i think. Thanks Ima.
