What are the tax benefits for Home Loan?

When you have a mortgage, you may be able to claim the interest you paid on the loan as a deduction, reducing the total amount of income, thus the total amount you must pay in taxes.

For some reason I never seem to notice the "Banned" status until I've gotten half way through typing a response.

What end are spammers trying to get at with post like this? Do they make several and then post links to other sites or try to get personal information? I just fail to see what the advantage of asking financial questions on a financial forum are for a scammer.

Unfortunately, the system doesn't automatically delete someone's posts when they get banned. I wish it did as it's a pain to go back and manually delete each one. james.hendrickson is there any way to make that happen? It's hard enough to ban them already. If doing so would at least make their posts disappear too at least it would make it more worth it.

Very often, the initial post is followed by other posts that are clearly spam, usually by another brand new user but I assume it's either the same person or a group working together. You may not see that because we're pretty good at deleting them as soon as they appear.

Some of the spammers have gotten smarter. One thing we've been seeing more of is someone making a perfectly acceptable post and then a few days later going back and editing it to add the spam link. That way their post doesn't show up when we click on Today's Posts, which is probably the way most of us access the site, so it often goes undetected.

The largest benefit is that you can deduct any interest expenses from your taxable income.

Since the OP was subsequently banned, I'm going to close this thread.
