I was out to lunch with a buddy of mine and we got to talking about credit cards and how my rewards really paid off in the month of December
We are 24 years old, and he told me he's never had a credit card and still doesn't. I've told him many times the importance of building up credit and the rewards alone I get back make it worth it (when someone will give you hundreds of dollars a year for free...you take it!).
I know several friends in this situation, what is it about people that don't take an interest in their financial well-being? My buddy also recently tried to apply for a credit card and got denied! duh, not sure where this sense of self-pride comes from for not having a credit card??
