  • Made a sale on Half.com

As I've posted before, I do a lot of medical online surveys. Most pay cash but a few give me a choice of items as my compensation. They rarely offer anything I actually need and I have successfully sold some of the items on ebay over time.

Last week, I got 2 copies of a medical dictionary from 2 of the surveys I had done. I put them on Half.com over the weekend and one copy sold yesterday. Of course, I priced it a little lower than the cheapest copy being offered to make mine the most appealing. Hopefully, the other one will sell quickly, too.

Cool! I sold textbooks on half.com and have put up a few books that I haven't read. All of my textbooks sold and I'm just waiting for the books to sell.

It's better than letting them sit around you house gathering dust if you won't read them. Amazon is also good for selling text books. I sold all my uni text books when I finished college and I haven't missed the books but was good to get some money back

I've sold quite a few books on half.com over the years. I've found that less common books do better. A popular best seller, like Harry Potter for example, doesn't do so well since there are millions of copies out there. What I just sold was a brand new medical dictionary, a good reference book that there aren't hundreds of people selling.

Great job pricing it lower as anything is better than nothing! I sold my old VW Bentley manual (on Craigslist) when I got rid my Jetta a few months ago. That's not a cheap book by any means, but I knew I'd have to take a loss. $40 was a great deal for the guy that bought it since the cheapest I saw it anywhere else was around $60.

That's why I love selling items that I got for free.

I've got nothing invested in them so whatever I get is a bonus for me.

I have also sold on Amazon. Sometimes books go for more there. If you have textbooks I'd recommend selling them quick because the price goes down as soon as a new edition comes out.
