  • "Stimulus Package" arrived

I just checked my BOA account and the $600 was just deposited. Of course I'll be transferring this out of there and into my MMA. I don't think many people are going to use this to buy stuff as much as to pay off bills, buy gas or save it. Let's see how much "stimulus" comes out of it.

I just checked my account. No stimulus yet. But I was not at the top of the list on the schedule. Maybe next week.

Our payment will get transferred to Vanguard toward our 2008 Roth contributions.

      Wow that is so exciting!

Mine is going right into my savings for the downpayment on my home.

When mine arrives, all $600 is going into my Health Savings Account, towards my deductible. Gotta bring the amount back up in that account. Besides, since it's contributions and distributions (any medical expense) are tax free. It reduces my tax liability as well.

Mine showed up in my account today.
We spent $60 on CDs, and the rest went into savings.
We have to get a new roof this year, so I imagine that's what it will eventually get spent on!

I am using $250 of my Stimulus money to open an ING account for my 23 year old son for a Christmas present. It will be nice for it to sit there and draw some interest, so when he looks at it, he will get the compounding interest thing. The rest will go into my savings account.

                Mine hasn't arrived yet

Last 2 of my SS# are 14 and we have direct deposit. I assume that we'll see it within the next few days.

We will be putting half towards the Roth and then buying a treadmill with the rest.

Campfrugal that is a good idea,--the bank account as a present later in the year with interest already accrued.

I feel like we are so behind the times, as we filed by snail mail. Now we will wait until July for ours. You guys putting it away now will have two months interest collected before I even get mine.

I should get mine by the end of next week. It will be $879 as I was just over the limit. It will go back into savings to cover the $$ taken out in the last 3 weeks for repairs to our riding mower, dryer, refrigerator, and plumbing. Everything happened at once (always the way!!) But the EFund was there to save the day, and now the stimulus will beef the EF back up. Works for me

Oh, plus $286 for clothes/household goods we bought this weekend!

I won't get mine for a few weeks because I filed too close to the deadline, altho I did do direct deposit.

Mine is going straight to re-fill the E-fund, because we need a new-to-us car and we have to replace the siding on our house. My main focus this year will be to rebuild that E-fund.

What was the cutoff for e-filing to get the rebate on time? My sister said she is suppose to be in the first group, but I know she filed close to April 15.

Ours isn't here yet, but it's already earmarked for savings. We just finished a home construction project that has lasted forever and I'm concerned about what might be coming next.

In the 40s and still waiting for the deposit to show up. When it does, I'll be transferring it to Vanguard towards our 08 Roth contributions.

I won't expect mine until July 4th for the paper check. Anyway to change it to direct deposit now or is it too late? My whole amount will most likely go into my Vanguard Mutual Funds.
