Has anyone ever gone to one of these seminars on real estate investing? I received 2 free tickets to attend one of his seminars in a couple of weeks and I'm wondering if it is worth the time to attend. Am I going to get any information out of it, or are they going to say I have to buy all types of material to learn the system? Has anyone ever done it (I've seen him on TV a lot) and is there any decent information in his program? I'm not sure I want to waste half a day if all its going to be is a sales presentation.

Based on the business model of these places, you'll go there and get a very, very hard sale on very, very expensive materials that are very, very important to your success as a real estate investor so you can become very, very rich.
I'd pass. There's a ton of free material at the library, information from local realtors, and websites that offer the information for free.

Yep. Even if you spent the big bucks on the program, Sheets' stuff isn't going to work for you. Check out http://www.johntreed.com/Sheets.html
These guys are the real thing and will answer questions for free and not try to (hard sell at least) anything: http://reiplace.com/newsgroup/list.php?1

If you do go, wear a few layers. I hear one of their tactics is to pump the room with A/C. Apparently that somehow has an effect on their sales rate... maybe I read that on Mr. Reed's site actually - I can't remember.
