I’ve never done it but I think you can do it an an ATM if you’ve set a PIN on your card. If not you can probably go into a bank and do it. I’m honestly not sure myself.

glad I opened the performance account. Coming close to my 3.125% mortgage rate (20-year refi in summer 2020)

Yes, that 3.00% savings rate is pretty darn good for a savings account. Not that far off from current CD's.

I think I'm gonna scoot some money over to there as well. Currently about 109k of my debt is on a variable heloc, currently around 5.5%, and a 30k car loan at 5.25%.

I've got enough in taxable & cash to pay it all off. But wife and I are planning on buying another home in the next year or so. So kinda thinking of stacking cash in an account w/ higher interest rate , to help off-set the creeping up rates on my variable HELOC , while still having the flexibility/liquidity of Cash

EDIT: *worth noting. Kinda hoping in the next 2 years or less, interest rates will come down a bit, ideally lowering the prime rate as well. Hopefully that I'll just have the more "elevated" interest charges temporarily for the next 2 years. (could be a gamble if rates stay high longer, or worse even go up more)...... I should probably set a rule where once the rates get "x" high, I just pivot, and start aggressively paying them off.

Thanks for posting. These rates look better than my credit union’s high yield savings account.

finally moving my kid’s money out of CapOne since the youth account is stuck at 0.3% and credit union is paying over 2%

I can also consider CDs at the credit union. Wasn’t able at CapOne but could be user error/inexperience

My daughter bought a 9-mo CD today for 5.2%. I’m not sure what the current yield is on the Vanguard money market. I think it’s right around 5%.
