Hello, wise people.
I'm revisiting my asset allocation as I get ready to sign up for my new job's 401k (see my other thread about that.)
I'm 37. In addition to my retirement accounts, I also co-own a rental property with my spouse. (we keep our investments separate otherwise.)
Here's the asset allocation I'm currently using:
large cap 30%
mid cap 15%
small cap 15%
international 30%
bonds 10%
Does that seem reasonable? Any adjustments you think I should make? Now's a good time because of my new 401k options. Also, I have too much cash at the moment because I sold some shares in my Roth IRA when I was buying the rental property, but I pulled it off without pulling money out of retirement and never got around to re-investing the money.
I have decent tax diversity with about a third of my money in a Roth. The rest is in a combination of a 401k from my second job, a rollover IRA, and a SEP IRA.
Thanks!
