  • Twtr?

Are we going to look back on TWTR in a few years and say man I wish I bought it when it was under $100?

I remember when the IPO was $75, and I was one mouse click away from buying a lot of them. However, I didn't, and I maintain that I made the right decision.

TWTR is highly speculative. Bottom line. Even if I do embrace its technology over the others, such as FB. I've even gone so far as to make command line scripts to tweet from my Linux box.

And yet, I think trading this stock is akin to rolling the dice. Only in hindsight can one properly regret or brag about the direction this stock is going. But that's just me.

I think TWTR is like any other social media - short term. There have been many popular social media forms that have already gone by the wayside (ie myspace). Facebook is even dropping off in popularity. The younger generation wants the latest and greatest, which may be twitter now, but I don't think it will last.

I wouldn't buy. At least not right now. How do you accurately value a company where a good number of the accounts are bogus and most of the things claiming to trend are manufactured by drone programs?
