  • Value!!!

Scoff if you would like to, but I just put all my US stock holdings equally into small value, mid value, and large value.

I was looking at a 20 year DOW chart. I just cant' believe the market has rallied this much. It is awesome considering I have made 90K in total earnings over the past 3 years.

However, I lived in Southern California - Inland Empire when the Real Estate boom was happening. And, I watched it burst. I remember all the professionals in Southern California, with all their numbers and explanations regarding how home prices would "never fall". Whenever I hear that type of talk...it is a BIG red flag.

The investors these days look like sheep running toward a big, steep cliff. Sheeple!

Regardless of what the "numbers" say about how "the market rally will continue", I am trusting my gut. I'm not really trying to time the market, since I know that fails. However, I am one of those people who try to blend a gut feeling with a some percentage.

Finally, I know that Value can be risky (in the short term). I may be wrong and the market may gain another thousand points. However, it has peaks and falls right around 15.5K (DOW) the last couple times.

    Please give me constructive criticism!!!

if you think the value stocks will differentiate you from the sheeple and the cliff you might be mistaking, if there is a stock market cliff everything will be going over it

Create an asset allocation and stick with it. It shouldn't change over time due to what your gut is telling you.
