Ho hum to you may be pretty good to someone else. Can you provide some numbers? What are you currently invested in? How many years until your children starts college?

Arizona InvestED Funds. 5 year return of about 3.9%. Kids are 5 and 6 years away. Each kid has about 16 thousand in her fund.

Sounds like your problem is what you have the money invested in. My daughter's 529 is in the NY plan. The 5-year return of their aggressive growth portfolio is 8.51%, more than double what you've gotten.

I'd suggest you take a look at the investment options available in your plan and reconsider how you have the money allocated.

ETA: I just looked again at the NY plan and even their bond portfolio has a 5-year return of 4.88%, a full percentage point better than what you've gotten. I really wonder what you have in your plan.

        * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
        * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
        * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.
