Best bank in San Franciso / Cupertino area?

Hi there,

I am going to be relocating to the San Francisco / Cupertino area in about a month. Can anybody out there recommend (for or against) credit unions or blue chips in the area? I like Chase so if they are prevalent there, that may be my choice. However, if there is a good credit union there or some alliance of local credit unions that may be a great option also.

Chase is increasingly prevalent.

I've used Tech CU. I like them for avoiding typical bank fees and charges.

Golden 1 Credit Union is excellent.

They have more branches in South Bay and San Francisco, but not a lot in between (so maybe not so good for Cupertino).

I have found most credit unions form an alliance for ATMs. So you may not really need a branch (can conduct almost any business online. Free ATM transactions at most any CU).
