  • Kanye West's Debt

How many of you guys saw Kanye West's cry for help from Mark Zuckerberg? Basically, the rapper/fashion designer/hubby to Kim Kardashian says he has $53 million in personal debt and asked Zuck for $1 billion.... Then called himself the "greatest artist to ever live" (ha).

Anyway, do you believe someone with a net worth of $145 million has that much personal debt? And what about his wife? What makes someone stoop to publicly asking someone for THAT MUCH money? (If he's even in that much debt to begin with...)

Kayne West is of zero importance to me.

That said, there are always stories of super wealthy people going broke. Happens all the time. A lot of sports stars making millions spend themselves into oblivion within a few years of retiring.

Michael Jackson was reportedly a billionaire at one point, but died penniless.

Countless others have followed the same path.

As to why he would ask for money..... apparently he is completely self absorbed, narcissistic, and shameless.

if you care...newscast said his last concert tour lost a passel of money and compounded his personal, designer clothing manufacturing debacle that has not met with the success he thought he deserved. The sycophants that surround these self defined celebrities create a monster whose wishes are not to be denied. Donald Trump hasn't reached this crescendo...yet.

Who are the Kardashians and why should we care? We acknowledge the shift in how credit is viewed and distributed. Likewise the millennium's value system is shifting and leaving last century folks wondering 'what happened.' Seems child centered homes are based on entitlement, newly coined 'affluenza'.

Or maybe he's not broke and he's just making some publicity because of new album and new blah blah from what I heard. Maybe.

"Greatest artist to ever live"? Sure... keep telling yourself that, Kanye.
Whats worse is that people like this are reproducing... with people like Kim... both are of equal talent.

I had zero interest in this man until he named his baby North West. I had high hopes that they would continue the tradition with South West, East West and culminating in little West West. That stupidity and arrogance would've made my decade. Since he went with the modest name of Saint West, he is meaningless fodder to me.

Oh and that Taylor Swift thing a few years ago, that was BAD, I can't believe she even pretended to have forgiven him.

I saw in a gossip magazine where they have two "celebrities" dressed in the same outfit and decide who wore it best. It was one of the younger Jenner girls (they look the same to me) against her dad, Caitlyn. Well, of course it looked better on the young, nubile Jenner vs the 60 something transexual dad. But I noticed the clothes were from West's line. They were wearing white knit sweaters and skirts with huge holes in them and straggly strings hanging down. Like something out of Les Mis. This did not come off as unusual haute couture weird but still beautiful clothing. This looked like one hot mess and I doubt people are lining up to buy this crap.

when I saw he was in personal debt, I wanted to sit with him and Kim and work up a budget a la Dave Ramsey, snowballing little debts first. "ok, Kim, you can spend $200 a month on clothes, make up needs to come from CVS. The babies will wear cute little outfits from Target instead of Dior....." Kayne will be throwing punches by this point.
