  • What's your most expensive day of the week?

I've been crunching numbers and looking at them in different ways. One interesting thing I did was to analyze what I send each day of the week. it turns out that Thursday is my most expensive day of the week. That's because it's the day I usually go grocery shopping for the week. That's followed by Friday, a day I go out to eat too often which is something I hope to tackle in 2015. Have you ever analyzed which day of the week is your most expensive?

Saturday, we do grocery shopping and sometimes we eat out for dinner.

Definitely either Saturday or Sunday depending on the week. Monday to Friday I go to work and come home. That's it. On the weekends is when we are likely to go out shopping, go out to eat, do activities like a movie or show or special event. Most weekdays I don't spend a penny except getting gas and buying groceries. The only time I really spend any money is on the weekend.

Mine varies as to the time of year. Of course with holidays its to be expected. However all in all mine is Monday, I usually end up working late so eating fast food or junk food usually ends up being my nemesis. But hoping to curb that in the new year.

Interesting question. My initial reaction was 1st of the month since all the automatic, non discretionary bills go that day. As a result of the idea of 'no spend days,' I've been using either Friday or Sunday as discretionary spending day for groceries, gas, tickets to events, grooming products or services. It's really effective to lump it all together and therefore be aware of the significant total sum.

Since gas has dropped by half, I'm looking at how best to reallocate. My friend just mentioned she opened a new e-account to transfer the sum she paid for gas to see what savings results for as long as this bargain lasts.
