  • Any good stories about success with frugality?

Hi I am new here. I am wondering about how any of you have achieved success in your personal/business life using frugality as an effective tool. Please post your story!

I've got some info in my blog about how frugality lead us to success. The first post covers the biggies.

There is a link when a person on here has a blog. It is in the upper right of thier post.

Interesting bloc Blessed. I've been rading ypur posts in general now, for two days. Some good tips in them, and interesting conversation.

            Success

I have been able to go from crippling credit card and student loan debt to being currently completely out of debt. It took about ten years, but frugality ended up paying off. Now I am focusing on wealth accumulation....where frugality is the backbone of my plan.

14 years ago when my husband and I had our first child, we were 20k in debt. We were able to pay that down being frugal and me working part time. When me youngest was born a few years later, we made sure we could live on one income. We live within our means-we still live in our starter house and I have made primarily a stay at home mom for the past decade. I do some work here and there from call center job to subbing in the kids schools.

Learning to be frugal has helped me go from living week-to-week to now having a savings account and some investments. It takes time though.
