  • Dude, you got the wrong word!

I find myself saying this to my son quite a bit. He is always playing with his sister and saying things like "I need that block/car/toy/ect"

I find myself reminding him daily, you don't need that, you want it! Since he brings it up, I decided to look at how often I say need instead of want.

How about the washer I just got, you know I said "with three kids I need a washer!" but really I want one so that I don't have to hand wash, line drying is one thing, handwashing is a PAIN!

Or Turkey dinner, I said "I need a bigger table" but really I want one, who said everyone has to sit at the table or all the trimmings have to be in arms reach? like walking a few steps on thanksgiving is a bad thing?

I bet there are thousands more I do everyday, but I need to go get some fudge so I wont write more now .

Chocolate is in my list of needs. However, I'm training myself to not need it as much. When I told hubby that I had already bought the Christmas chocolate (for stockings, etc.) over a week ago and hadn't touched a piece yet, he gave me a kiss. He knows what a struggle it is for me, but sometimes I NEED it!
