  • Harrier Miers for Supreme Court -- Yes or No

I am a bit confused over whether this Harriet Miers is
    a good thing or not.

Here's what is confusing ... Bush recommended her ..
so I expected to see all of the conservatives jumping
up for joy .. but that is not really the case.

And ... on my side .. there doesn't seem to be much
joy .. so what's the deal with this chick?

So far from what i've read i'm kinda for her.

now if the stuff i've read is truely how she is 'who knows'

basically, she seems to be pro everything.. she seems to be for abortion. she seems to be for guns.. she seems to be for civil rights..
kinda liberitarian in a way.. she seems to be against things that prohibit things as long as things are fair, pro-choice everything. U wanna abort, fine, u wanna carry guns, fine, u wanna do this, do that. fine.. u kill someone, we kill you!! LOL u abuse child, we kill u! u rob someone, we kill u!

I want my justices to be independant, and not in someones pocket,
so hopefully she really is someone like that.

Ofcoure now, just as i wrote that, i read an article on Yahoo, how she was against abortion..

so everything i initialy heard about her.. goes out the window..
and i feel fooled by the bush propaganda machine..

and am now ready to assasinate the president lol for a making a mockery out of me LOL (not really gonna do it, if anyone wonders, just an expression of anger, but its not a die or live situation, so the president will be allowed to continue living)
Now i'm against her, and anything else, bush proposes, due to deep mistrust!

If the ultra-conservatives and the ultra-liberals disapprove of her, then I like her.

where did you find your orig. information?

I think some conservatives are a bit worried because she hasn't been a judge, has never written a brief, ect. Which means she is an unknown. And unknowns scare both (extreme) sides probably.

The fact that she previously stated that the current occupant of the White House is “the most brilliant man” she ever met should be more than enough to indicate a lack of judgment on her part.

Well he did score higher on the SAT's than John Kerry.

I think she stands a 0% chance of being confirmed. Also, whoever is nominated stands a good chance of being an utter disappointment to the President who made the nomination, based on past history.

i don't trust bush, i didn't like his first choice, she can't be any better or else she would have been nominated first.
