  • How about an insurance forum?

We seem to be seeing a ton of posts lately asking various questions about insurance, particularly life insurance. Might it be worthwhile to create an insurance forum to keep these threads together. The same questions are getting posted over and over. Perhaps at least a sticky thread about buying life insurance.

Great idea. Insurance is an important subject in personal finance, it should have a common place.

If all these recent questions are really being posted by the same person, then I consider that an abuse of the forums. I understand not wanting to delete all those posts as they still may be helpful to someone reading along, but it annoys me to think that someone is setting up these questions just so that they can respond to them later, with their "I-just happen-to-be-in-the-business-and-here's-the-name-of-that-business" advice. They do appear to me to be set up questions.

Other than those odd recent posts, I don't see any increase in insurance questions. Eliminate those, and would it occur to anyone to create a separate forum for insurance?
