  • Anyone need some bubble wrap?

Last week, I noticed that I was just about out of bubble wrap. That is the one packing item besides padded envelopes that I do pay for. I tried scavenging bubble wrap before but it was too much of a mess to keep track of and I never had the size piece I needed. It isn't that expensive so I just order a roll when I need it.

Anyway, I went on ebay and ordered a 250-foot roll. It was delivered yesterday. Then, last night I was in the basement to do my weekly ebay listings. I started scrounging around in and around some boxes I hadn't touched for a while to find something different to sell. On a shelf behind a stack of boxes I found a brand new 250-foot roll of bubble wrap.

I remember now that last time I bought it, I got a 2-pack because it was cheaper that way, but I didn't recall that I had only gone through one of those rolls. So now I've got enough bubble wrap to probably last me for the next 5 years at least if not even more than that.

I thought about that. It is still all packed to ship. I could just slap a new label on it and send it back out. I'd only do it if I could get more than I spent, though. Doesn't make sense to lose money on the deal.

It just comes with the roll shrinkwrapped in heavy plastic.

Thanks. I wasn't quite sure if it was a serious question or not. I guess not.

Personally, I think they should ship it in a box so that the bubbles don't get popped in transit.

True. Of course, that's why I started selling on ebay again - to work on clearing out the huge stock of sale merchandise in the basement. The roll of bubble wrap was kind of in a odd place. I have no idea why it ended up there as that isn't where I typically keep that stuff.

As my ebay sales move along, I want to condense what remains to free up shelves for storing other, more useful stuff, which will, in turn, help us declutter other parts of the house.

You are doing great Steve in the decluttering process. I'd try craigslist first for selling the bubble wrap, actually. Find a local buyer who is looking for a small discount.

I would search on ebay. I always find the best prices on shipping and office supplies there. Don't grab the first deal you see. Do some comparison shopping and you should find a great deal, much better than you'd get at Staples or OfficeMax.
