Any more than that I was on my own, but it goes to show... about the same size tank now, and it's about $30 for a tank.
My parents did the exact same thing. I was allowed every two weeks and if I needed more, I was on my own. I remember a couple of times using the gas can for the lawn mower!

There was a letter to the editor today in our paper that was pretty funny. It said "Gasoline prices have been dropping dramatically thruoghout the country. This is obvioulsy a conspiracy between big oil companies and President Bush. I would encourage House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to begin hearings into this problem to properly assign blame to Bush."

Hey kork13, I always wanted to know what your signature meant. If I'm not mistaken, I think its Latin.

I'm pretty sure the letter was being satirical... and that's all I'll say about that.

haha fair point.... it just sounded like something I could believe being proposed by at least a couple people I know, so I figured someone had actually put it out there. sorry about that... lol

Yes, it's two latin phrases I've always liked and try to live by...
"Praestantia per minuti" literally is "Excellence through small things", or in better English, "Excellence is in the details". A friend with some Latin experience helped me translate it from English to Latin, thus the kinda rough translation.
"Acta non verba" means "Actions, not words". (that one's actually legitimate)

Agreed. I had to re-read it in the paper and then got it.

do you remember the 2.99 gas promotion that car companies were using to sell cars. I bet everyone that bought one because of that are going "dou!" now because the promotion is worthless now.

it is 2.31 here, and was 2.65 when i last filled up(two weeks ago)

I forgot about that. Yeah, I'm sure all the people that rushed to buy new cars to take advantage of that deal are feeling pretty dumb right about now.

                      $2.25 here yesterday.

We paid $1.89 on our way back from KC this weekend. I don't remember the town, but it was in the very NW corner of MO.
