Egg and milk cartons, and straws.

Believe it or not, when I was studying abroad in Costa Rica, this little corner cafe that I frequented for lunch in San Jose reused their customers' straws. I discovered this when I noticed that the ends of my straws always seemed frayed -- and then one day I saw them washing them behind the counter. I didn't use straws there after that!
