One option for introducing your child to solid foods is to skip the purees and instead just feed them solids from your plate. This is called "Baby Led Weaning", but it is "weaning" in the England-English sense, which I have taken to mean is actually analogous to American-English "Baby Led Solids". We didn't wean a 6 months, and in fact aren't weaned now at 13 months.
Here is a good website to begin with:
Baby Led Weaning | Is Baby Led Weaning the Best Way to Introduce Solid Foods?
My 13 month old is eating pretty much everything we are eating, without ever pureeing anything. We exclusively breastfed until he was 6 months old, then started offering him large pieces of food on his high chair tray. We went under the philosophy of "Foods before 1 is just for fun" and didn't force him to eat or try anything he didn't want to, because he was getting everything he needed from his primary food, breastmilk. We have progressed since then, since he now has 7 teeth instead of 2 when we started, so he is now eating apples off the tree in the front yard and smaller bite sized portions of pork ribs and garden vegetables for supper. We are still breastfeeding, but he is also drinking water out of a cup and eating lots of regular food as well.
Please note, I am just telling you what we did. If you don't think this will work for you, fine, don't try it.
It is just an idea that happened to work for us.
