I woke up to 6 emails yesterday stating that someone from China turned on my family sharing, drained my account of our gift card amount, then politely turned family sharing off. I wasn't aware of the millions of accounts hacked last month until today. The odd thing was that I had to talk to 2 different people to take me seriously. The first one was convinced that I had spoof emails. The second one agreed that someone got into my account and promptly offered to reimburse the money, but then actually told me that I don't have to use the 2 step verification unless I was really, really concerned about it. It sounds like a PITA because both my daughter and I use the account, but I guess I should now. I'm not sure it would even help since the hack was on their end and not mine.
