  • What Did You Guys Think About The Debate?

I have so many criers saying last night was 2v1, Lester + Clinton Vs Trump. I thought it was more Trump + Clinton vs Trump. Trump just can't seem to shut it....he goes on tangents and accidentally slipped out how not paying taxes is smart, stop and frisk to heal racial divide, and insults Rosie O'Donald while trying to defend the accusation of himself being demeaning to women..lol This guy brought a bobcat last night to dig his own hole......

I only watched about 20 minutes total but it went exactly as I expected. Donald was Donald and Hillary gave polished but very politically calculated answers. Bottom line is I don't trust either of them and I've learned enough in my 31 years that it really isn't going to make a difference who is elected President. No Donald won't get us in a nuclear war and no Hillary won't take away our guns. Whatever the unelected powers that be want they will get because the vast majority of politicians are prostitutes and their corporate overlords are their pimps.

I didn't watch and I know it will be extremely difficult to find an unbiased take on it. You got one news outlet highlighting all of Trump's mistakes, and you have another highlighting how soft Lester was on Hillary.

Based on quotes that I have read, Trump most definitely had multiple blunders. And if the lack of follow up (and particular topics) from Lester is true, then I agree that it wasn't a level playing field.

Personally I can respect a person's decision on why they plan to vote for one of the candidates. Everyone has things that are important to them, and if they feel a particular candidate is better for their situation than I certainly don't begrudge them of their vote.

What I can't respect is a person that feels that either of these candidates are TRULY WORTHY to be our President. It is a very sad state of affairs that one of these two candidates is going to be our next President.

Trump was a nightmare. I don't think Lester was soft on him, I think he just couldn't get a word in edgewise. It was a like watching a trainwreck, and I think Hillary did a great job of letting him tighten the own noose around his neck. That guy is a scary mess.

The accusation is that he was soft on Hillary.

Right, I didn't find that true, but I didn't get the sense he had any time to be hard or soft on either. Trump wouldn't really let anyone talk but himself.

Here is a quote from the article accusing him of being soft on Hillary.

"Holt asked a “birther” question that lasted longer than Clinton’s email answer. He then added three separate follow-ups to jam up Trump."

No follow up about the e-mails sounds like being soft on Hillary.

Accusation about Lester aside, I didn't need to watch the debate to know Trump would be his own worst enemy.

All I can say is that I watched every minute of the debate and Holt's questions seemed fair to me. Trump is the one who dropped the ball. He blew plenty of opportunities to dive deeper into some of those issues, and instead opted for the toddler response to everything. Sighing, sniffing (like he'd done drugs or something), making rude comments, interrupting, going off on the strangest irrelevant tangents. Appalling.

                    This is a worthless discussion.

People who support Trump will say Trump "won" the debate.
People who support Clinton will say Clinton "won" the debate.

There is no such thing as an impartial observer. Everyone enters the process with some preconceived opinions, even if they claim they are undecided. Unless you could find someone who has absolutely zero previous knowledge of either candidate and have them watch the debate not knowing anything about either person, you just can't get a meaningful review of what occurred.

Honestly, I don't know why people insist on discussing it.

Steve, my number one reason for discussing it at all is because there is no doubt there is a media bias in favor of Clinton and I admittedly can't stand her.

I am not a Trump supporter and agree with much of what HundredK said about him. Except of course the silly comment about the sniffling. I have been sniffling non stop today and have never done drugs in my life. I haven't even smoked a joint without inhaling like Bill has.

lol - but seriously, it was nonstop sniffling. Distracting and nonstop! I don't think it was only me who noticed. Maybe it wasn't drugs, maybe he really was just going for the full on toddler effect.

You definitely weren't the only person to notice. My wife told me is was being discussed on social media.

There are media outlets that lean more liberal.

I don't really watch the news but I have no doubt that I could easily find a news show today proclaiming either one of the candidates the winner depending on which show I chose to watch.
