Ok - I am completely inspired by this challenge & love the idea of trying to save the "highest" amount each week. We already budget everything (and I mean everything) carefully (but while still having fun) and are on track to be mortgage free in June 2014.
I want to use this challenge to challenge myself into saving $1300 by Dec 2013 to put towards shares - as this is where we want to start investing & saving for kids education (I understand it's considerably cheaper we we live than US but still significant).
I am aiming to reach 1-2 of the savings amounts each week to do this - with the idea that any weeks that I save (for example) $52 then the rest of that week's saving goes to a second amount.
I have now been doing this for 10 days and saved $10 the first week (from grocery savings) and $52 so far this week (online survey payout & other savings). I am selling things on our country's equivalent of Ebay, recording all savings from our budget & picking up extra survey work where possible.
Looking forward to see how we go!
