Stash App Investing: Everything You Need to Know

December 22, 2020 by Susan Paige

Do you invest? If not, you should start considering it. For those wanting to build their wealth and reach financial independence, investing is one of the many steps you need to take. Not investing means you’re missing out on numerous opportunities to increase your overall financial worth.

Investing, when you’re a beginner, is scary. Where do you start? How do you know this investment is worth it, or could you lose everything? There are many points to consider when investing on top of learning the basics. Luckily, as a beginner investor, you can access many resources and apps that can help you out. One of those apps is Stash.

Ready to learn more? We have a Stash app review that explains what the app is and how it can benefit you.

What is Stash?

Stash is an investment app that helps anyone and everyone invest. It was started back in 2015 by two Wall Street investors. Their goal was to create something that any beginner can learn to invest in regardless of their income.

To get started, you’ll create an account with Stash and go through their brief questionnaire. These questions help build your financial profile so that Stash can suggest an investment plan that suits your risk level and why you’re investing.

A great feature of Stash is the way you can use it. Do you want to save for retirement? Maybe your goal is to develop better money habits or to learn more about finances and to invest. Whatever your reason is, Stash likely has a plan for you.

Affordable Way to Invest

For many beginners, knowing that they can afford to invest is crucial. Although if you want to win the big bucks on your investment, you’ll need to put in the big bucks, Stash still shows you that even the smallest amount can still earn you a return.

Stash has a pricing structure that ranges from $1 per month up to $9 per month. Depending on how serious you are about your investments, you can select a plan that is within your price range. Even the most beginner investor can start at less than a cup of coffee.

Stash Features

Now, when finding an investment app, it often comes down to the features available. Stash has multiple features for every investment level.

To start, Stash offers fractional shares. It allows you to pool your money within the Stash community to afford a higher-priced stock, which often yields a higher return. Many beginner investors won’t risk going for these stocks as it costs more, and the risk of loss is increased. However, when you go this route with fractional shares, your risk is lower. The difference here, though, is you receive a fractional percentage on the return rather than the full return itself.

Another neat feature is the Stock-Back debit card. Think of this as a cashback card, expect in stocks. When you purchase an item through popular retailers (like Amazon), you get back stock in that retailer. It’s a great way to grow your investment portfolio through simple purchases.

Stash is an excellent app for beginner investors and those looking to grow their portfolio. It’s affordable and offers many resources and features for any investor to learn more. Consider using the Stash app to get you started on your investment journey.
