Costco seems like an obvious pick for Halloween shopping. Their focus on bulk products for low prices makes them a great destination for the annual candy bucket. So what exactly does Costco have to offer for Halloween?
Costumes
Like many other big outlets, Costco has added Halloween costumes to their stores. Just as they do with most other things, they have pretty competitive prices on them. The issue, though, is that they only have kids costumes. Another issue is that there are not very many of them. So, it may not be the best place to go for the whole family’s costumes, but if one of your kids is fine with going simple, Costco is here to help.
They have many of the basics you would want to see. There are mermaid costumes, astronaut costumes, princess costumes, etc. All of them are right in the $28-33 range, which is pretty manageable for a nice costume. They look good, and they make a great in-a-pinch back-up plan for sure. Costumes are one place where Costco Halloween deals are pretty viable.
Decorations
Similar situation here as with the costumes. Costco has decor, and has it for cheap, but it isn’t exactly plentiful. I would go as far as to say, on this particular category, Costco isn’t the place to go. There just isn’t enough there, and if you are creative, you can make it happen pretty cheap elsewhere. Home decorations are a vital part of Halloween, but Costco just didn’t seem to get the message on that. Unless you want to leave your festivity to 2-3 decorations around your livingroom, Target is a much better place to shop for them.
Snacks and Candy
This is where Costco is king. While there aren’t too many Costco Halloween deals specific to the holiday on food items, there are plenty of products that will fill your candy bucket, and your party spread!
Bulk containers of candies and snacks are abundant at Costco. Whether you want sweets, crackers, or pretzels, your dish can be filled easily for less than $20. Make sure to get individually wrapped snacks if you’re handing them out to kids, especially in the era of COVID. If you want to be extra safe, do this even for party snacks.
They also have a terrific selection of sandwiches, pizzas, and other great Halloween party meals to keep your family/guests full! While some states are barring or putting restrictions on celebrations, if you live in a more open state, Costco has what you need!
