Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday in May each year and falls on Monday, May 25, in 2015. It’s an official federal holiday, and it commemorates the men and women who have given their lives while fighting in wars.
No matter where you may be, you can observe this day by giving a minute of silence to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice at 3:00 PM your local time. This minute of silence is observed all across the US. There are also a number of large Memorial Day events being held around the country.
