Sean Spicer was born on September 23, 1971 in Manhasset, New York. He grew up in Barrington, Rhode Island in a modest household. His first interest in politics was during high school. That is when he started volunteering for local political campaigns.
Spicer continued this work during his time at Connecticut College. He graduated from Connecticut College with a Bachelor’s of the Arts in government in 1993. Almost 20 years later, Spicer returned to school and received a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College in Rhode Island.
After receiving his Bachelor’s degree, however, he worked on a number of political campaigns like Mike Pappas, Mark Foley and Clay Shaw. In the early 2000s he switched gears from political campaigning to political committees.
