  • Crazy Thought...

So I was just running some reports out of Quickbooks to see if there was any way I could cut back some business expenses. When I saw it sitting in front of me how much money I spend to get insurance leads and marketing, I felt a small part inside my frugal little heart die.

Man... I spend A LOT. Sad part is, I really have to do it to stay afloat. In short, no leads = no income, apart from residuals.

Anyway, that's not really the point of this. It just got me thinking... I'm obviously willing to fork out a good chunk of cash for the name and phone number of a qualified individual or business looking for health insurance. There's a lot of other people that do the same thing - like real estate agents, solar companies, or even cosmetics sales professionals.

There's huge market out there for people are saavy with SEO, telemarketing, networking or whatever other lead generation methods. And it's easy money for the people that are able and willing to do it.

If you can find qualified consumers in just about any market, you're probably sitting on a small mint.

I just entered the digital world. If you are good at marketing you are certainly worth your weight in gold.

This! i have a friend in marketing who has just managed to land some pretty sweet contracts because all the higher-ups at these places are kinda clueless when it comes to digital. i'm sure most of them still run tv adverts lol.

To be fair, TV advertising still works. It's pretty expensive, though.

I definitely think that digital marketing is for people with hustle. You can't learn it at university. Everythings obsolete within 2 years.

Reading this thread, and now is 2020, I'm just surprised how much things have changed. First of all, digital maarketing is for everybody. DIgital marketing is wider than you think. Now, Social Media is on top, even though it will make a difference for small business. If you are a big company and you are willing to spend more than 1000 on your visibility for your potential customers, there other strategies. Me, as a big insurance company, these guys from xxxx highly recommended to do SEO. They are doing!
