  • Earning Money Online (slow and steady wins the race!)

    Hello!

My name is Elizabeth and I'm from Spain, nice to meet you all!

It's my first time on the forum so if I make some mistake, please tell me :P I am studying Drama at the University and I work as a waitress to pay my studies. I have visited other forums before because, let's face it, I would love to work from home as I would have much more free time! but I have bought several ebooks and courses (6 so far) and only one of them has got me to earn some money :/

I wanted to ask you what courses do you recommend to earn some money online, and if you find them reliable in the long run Right now I'm sticking to the only method that is giving me money XD and I'm happy with it, but I still can't earn enough to leave my job as a waitress ^^U

    Thank you for your help!!

Here's a couple of decent sites to try:

    Upwork-freelance
Mechanical Turk - surveys, tasks, transcription

Those are the only ones I've used, so I can recommend them.

Don't try to make a living off it, but I earn a small sum from https://www.pineconeresearch.com. It is $3 for a 15-20 min survey. It is a nice way to monetize random dead moments in your day. I often use it when I get stuck under a sleeping baby and can't do what I need to on a mobile device.

If you have 10+ hours/week that you want to dedicate to a blog and are willing to put in a full year before seeing useful results, I get the impression the payoff is somewhat exponential. I can't speak from experience yet (blog is 2 months old), but ask me in 2 years if it is worth it.

There is also selling stuff on craigslist or ebay. Here's a great article from my favorite blogger about where to get free stuff to sell after you've decluttered your own house: http://www.sarahtitus.com/2015/08/24...stuff-to-sell/.

Like you I try earning some extra money online by "running" part-time a sort of software "business" on top of my job but god, it's difficult: until now I'm far from being successful enough to quit my day-time job.
