  • Extra Money for Christmas

Does anyone know of easy ways to make extra money during Christmas that pay well? I'm on break from school and have extra time. I'd love to use it to earn some extra money if I can to pad me savings even more.

You don't mention what your skill set is, but have you considered contacting temp agencies in your area? Sometimes businesses have seasonal office work projects or even more specialized projects depending on your talents. More people take vacation this time of year as well so businesses may need a floater.

Thanks. That's a good idea. I've also thought about babysitting for all the parties and pet sitting for those who go away for Christmas. I'd love to hear more ideas.

When I was a teen friends and I used to babysit for any parents we knew that wanted to go out and party for NYE and other major holidays. It definitely wasn't easy money considering how hard we worked keeping the kids entertained and safe, plus the clean up, but we made a few hundred each.

Talking to people you know is always a good way to find a side gig. Perhaps a friend of the family needs help at work, knows someone needing a holiday babysitter, etc. Ask anyone and everyone.

                Extra money for Christmas

For the past four or five years I being doing online surveys during the year to save money for Birthday and Christmas presents. When I first start I was earning about $800 a year. Now I am up to about $3500. What I love about online surveys is that you require no skill, simply a computer and you can do it in your spare time for as little or as long as you want. I tend to spend up to an hour a day whilst I am watching TV of a night. A lot pay to pay pal so I have a little secret online saving account for myself!

The other ways are by going to focus groups - which is paid research. You attend a venue and they are you questions for an hour and pay in cash.

I've recently created my new website (sorry its not fully complete yet) and these list the survey sites that I use and have regular good payouts on. There are lots and lots of others, but these pay to paypal which is my preferred option.
Have a look at my website http://www.somuchmorecash.com for most of the survey sites. The focus groups are Australian so not of much help but I'm sure you can just google some American ones.

The pay per click sites are something I am trialling now for extra cash. You can paid for clicking on ads (great when you only have a few minutes and also when you have no surveys available elsewhere). Redemption is as low as $2 so you can put lots of little bits away in your paypal account. You can earn lots by referrals too.

I've listed them on the site but the 2 I currently use are

Take a look at Mystery shopping. Avoid the scammers. Never pay to join a Mystery shop program. Open a fee free checking account and put all of the proceeds (including reimbursements) into that account and don't touch it. My first week, I made $50 it is easy money and if you provide them with honest and thorough feedback, you will be offered more jobs.

Start now and you could have $1000 dollars to make Christmas 2015 Incredible!

A slow but faithful method: Surveys

I have made extra money by answering surveys with iPoll. I cannot post the URL here but you can search for iPoll surveys in google and you should be able to find the link. I like the fact that many of the surveys pay $, $2, or $3 each. However, be aware of the following problems associated with surveys on iPoll:

                    1. Surveys usually take more time to answer than iPoll indicates
                    2. iPoll may take 2 to 3 weeks to verify your completion of a survey
                    3. Many times you must answer several survey questions, just to find out that you don't qualify to complete the survey
                    4. If you want money deposited in Pay Pal, you have to rack up at least $50
                    5. There is a small fee for depositing into Pay Pal

If you have the time on your hands, why not use it to make some extra cash. You won't be paid well for the time, but it is extra cash that you would otherwise not have.

Car wash... just kidding. If you have a blog or something similar monotizing it could be a good idea. or if you have 10000's of followers selling adspace is always good.

Many retail stores take on extra help for the busy holiday season. Have heard some business such as jewelry stores do 80% of their business at that time?
