I have tried doing some offers online and that gave me some bucks to add my budget for foods. I also help someone process her documents and I am being paid by it.

@aukxsona. Thanks for your post. Inspiring!

A lesson in what you can do when you pursue every opportunity. - and sounds like some of your initiatives have the potential to become bigger earners.

A friend of mine also did the book-selling through amazon and it worked well for him as a side source of income. I think he used to use a barcode scanner to check prices online as he browsed, so he could really start without much knowledge. Having said this he also found the work very labour intensive.

I really like content production. I have a passion for writing and with the right topic, I find that people really like what I have to say. That has been a great way for me to supplement my income a little bit. There have been some other great suggestions listed here as well.

I usually do surveys and earn around $90 a month. I'm also trying some other ways to make money, mostly online. Can anyone recommend their favorite survey sites?

              Why surveys??

There are way better ways to spend your time. Of course online ways. Step out side the survey box my friend!

There really are a huge amount possibilities to make extra money on the side. A lot of it simply depends on how much effort you're willing to put in, and how much time you have. I do a lot of tutoring on the side which took some time to build a clientele, but once you make a name for yourself, you get a lot of referral business. I now have to turn away people because I don't have the time to do all that tutoring.

I also do writing on the side. I can make $10-$15 an article which is about 500 words and takes me about 45 min. to create. It's a good way for me to make extra money without having to go out and get a job and be at a place at a certain time. It's very flexible, so it allows me to make money when I have free time unexpectedly.

I used to do some freelance work up till recently. To be honest, I earned much more than just a side money, and I wasn't even working that much. So yeah, you can say I'm a sucker for freelancing. The truth is, freelancing always gives you a chance to grow and earn more if you're persistent and hard working enough.

I started to mow a few lawns during this spring and summer. My girlfriend's cousin owns a landscaping company and he only mows larger lawns with riding and stand on mowers. Whenever he gets a call from someone with a small yard who just needs push mowing he refers them to me. Typically these yards require no more than a 1/2 hour to 45 mins worth of labor, some as little as 15-20 mins. I just mow some after work or on the weekends and make an extra $150-170 per week for about 5 hours of labor. I actually don't even use the mower I use on my own lawn to do these smaller jobs. I got a great deal on a small basic Yard Machines push mower on CL. I paid $50 and the mower was only 1 year old. The guy was moving to a condo and no longer needed a mower for his lawn. I actually just inherited 2 more lawns for the remainder of summer and early fall from kids who are moving away to go to college.

I´m making some good money with youtube per month, approx. between 50 - 200 (not from Youtube, but in affiliate commissions), depending on several factors.

i´m also using fiverr and some similar sites to use the same skills to earn some more!

Another good way to make small amounts of money is to use your social media accounts to promote someone's stuff. So to say, if you have 100k followers on twitter, you can find advertisers and get them to pay you to tweet. You can make between $5 and $60 dollars per tweet if you do this.

I am not big into social media, so I am not speaking with any expertise here. But wouldn't you be walking a fine line with the type of scenario you mentioned? I am assuming the people chose to follow the person for reasons other than what products they like. Seems to me if they were to tweet too much of that type of stuff then their followers would start bailing.

When my son was little and I wanted to stay home, I made a few hundred dollars a month, consistently, from alcohol rebates.

It only took about 10 minutes to gather the bottles from behind the bars. I left him in his car seat the whole time. Brought it home, filled his plastic pool up with water and soaked them off. Sometimes I'd blow dry them.

Another thing I did is get the old potatoes from the nursery. They'd throw out what wasn't sold that year. They tossed them beside a graveyard across the street from where the nursery was located (Yes, I know...Gross!). Only about half would sprout. I cut out the eyes and toss them into manure I also got free for cleaning out a horse stall. Toss the manure pile once in a while with a pitch fork and water a bit..... then watch the green plants start perking up from the pile. Walla~new potatoes. Cut out the eyes out again from these new potatoes and boil the rest of the potatoes to eat. Rinse and repeat. Endless free potatoes. Red, White and Russets. The potatoes were really tasty compared to the store.
