  • Making Money Online Tips

I started "making money online" a few months ago and it has been a fun little up and down business that I can run on the side for extra money.

I have a few pieces of advice for any of you who are interested in this.

Wickedfire - I joined the Wickedfire forum to get information from people who are actually making money on the internet. They are a community of internet marketers (IMs) that share stories, help figure out SEO problems, and sell services. You'll learn most of what you need to know by sorting through those threads. The stickies are a good place to start. Don't ask for secrets on there or don't ask to see people's sites. That is a big no-no in those types of communities.

SEO - Learn it. Search Engine Optimization is huge. You won't make money online if you can't get your site to the top of Google. That is where you get your traffic that comes to your site and clicks on your ads or buys your products.

Work - If you really want to make money online, you have to treat this like a job. Set aside 3 hours a day that you are going to site down and write articles, build back links, etc. Don't count researching or reading other blogs as time spent working.

Patience - It takes some time to build traffic to your site and make money. I spent a year before I figured out how this stuff works, before I got my first Google Adsense check. That check was for $250. The next, $450. I'm getting $1,200 at the end of this month. But it took time. I tried this a few years back and I wasn't making money after a few weeks and gave up. Thank God I tried again.

Content - Always be writing. A term you'll see thrown around a lot is "content is king". The more you write, the more pages people have to land on. Also, the more content you have, the more likely Google will be to throw your site to the top of the ranks.

    Great stuff.
What about sites that have online application (silverlight/flash) and they dont change content that often? I'm asking because I have that type of site and its very hard to bring visitors without making spam . Any thought on this?

The only thing that I can think of that should definitely work is to add a blog section to your site and keep hitting it with new content, mostly aimed at your specific keywords. In some of the articles link back to the main page or other inner pages.

If you have some money to invest, I use odesk to pay virtual assistants to use white hat methods of building traffic. They work for like $1 an hour.

I 'm not too sure about the concept of your websites, but some things can get viral in some ways. Shoot me a private message with your site if you want and I'll see if I have any ideas.

Good idea of adding up blog section on your site as content matters most now. As you build great contents related to what you've offer then add some social media engagement for faster indexing and sharing is always good as it gains more possible visits. Regular update is needed too to your content management.

making money online is one of the easiest ways to become rich without doing much effort. You can work from your bed if you want, you don't have to wake up at a certain time and your earnings can keep increasing even when you are asleep.

The only thing you need to be a success, not just in the online business, but in any business, is dedication. Work hard and it will pay off, trust me on that.

Could you expound on these white hat methods? As in what specifically are these virtual assistants doing? This seems like a great idea, and I already use an Odesk contractor for my main business, so I'm interested in how you did this.

                      Patience is SO HUGE.

I make a full time living online but it took me 6 months of busting my butt to get there.

                        Its not that easy

You also have to be really good in creating contents, I have a friend who works as a SEO, she said that SEO is not easy if you don't have skills in writing and online connections.

You can always outsource content writing to somebody else. Making money online is a team business. You can't be the one person for all.
