I don't have one currently, but I'm hoping to be working on the script very shortly!

I sold collectibles online for many years. I started in the mid 1990s advertising on newsgroups (remember those). Then I started my own website. In 1997 I started selling on ebay and sales took off (relatively speaking). My 2000, when I was briefly unemployed, I was racking up sales of $2,000-$3,000/month. Now, of course, ebay is relatively worthless, at least for the type of stuff I sell, and I hardly ever list anything. I do still sell books pretty regularly on half.com and make a few bucks doing that.

I am web designer. Have started as a hobby in 2002. In 2009 I lost my job as a radio DJ and started freelancing full time. I'm currently living off my web business and enjoying the freedom

I average $9.00 per month from Pinecone Research, year in - year out. It goes right into PayPal. When I find something I want on-line, I wait until I have enough in PayPal (alright, this is a patent lie but it limits certain aspects of what I spend on-line).

You don't need to post links to share your story. You only need to post links to share SPAM or advertise your own business. No thanks.

I made a post a few days ago advertising a website I was launching (it has since been deleted and I understand why) - I wasn't trying to shamelessly plug my site - I honeslty was trying to let people know of it and to let people know they don't have to pay full price for items on-line.

I guess my approach was wrong and it came off being SPAMMY. Also, I know a lot of people out there just care about pushing their business and not about the community they're involved in.

I am one of the most frugal people I know and I'm just trying to think of ways to help other people who are just like me - this forum appears to be the right place and I empathize with a lot of people here...

Sorry to you and to anyone who thinks I'm here to SPAM this forum... Not the case - I just want to find ways to save money and to share my knowledge!

I used to make decent amount of money monthly with Ebay. I had a source of Rogaine that would be expiring within the next 3-6 months. I paid $1 a box and sold in sets of 6 boxes on auction for between $64 and $94 per group minus Ebay fees. I also got expired printer ink from the same source for .50 a cartridge and resold much higher. Sadly the source left the ares. Ebays fees are ridiculous now days anyway.

                        define successful?

depends how much you would call successful? I can live anywhere in the world with a web connection and never need to set an alarm clock, plus have enough for a nice place and all the essentials, but am by no means rich...at least not in certain ways

How do you sell the merchandise? Do you buy everything wholesale in advance?

Freelance writing at demandstudios.com. They pay as soon as they approve your article, which could take a week at most. And they pay twice a week. Been writing for them for almost three years. But it's very hard to get in.
