  • Clerical work at home jobs?

Any experience making money typing from home?

I have tried to research every possible avenue of this and the bottom line is it is hard to find. I would love to hear if anyone actually makes money at this or knows of a site that actually hires and pays people.

The only time I got something for typing at home was a free beer at the karaoke bar after I typed up a new song list

I am a medical transcriptionist and I worked at home for 10 years before going in-house in December 2008. You have to have training for this, but many, many people work at home doing this.

Th best site to find clerical jobs that are legit and have been verified, is to go to ratracerebellion.com

Plenty of home jobs listed there ... especially clerical.

Look into Amazon's mturk, Lionbridge, Leapforce, and for lots of help, go here: Work From Home - Work at Home Jobs, Recipes & Articles For Moms - WAHM.com
They have very a very helpful forum.

Is survey taking a viable way to make a quick and easy money at home?
I see all these ads about how you can make money taking surveys but I am very hesitant that its just a scam.

There are websites which offer these kinds of jobs but there is always a question mark on them. How genuine are they? Will they reimburse you your dues? One needs to check all that and then go ahead.

These are almost always a scam. Most people who work from home have a reputation with their employer already. This is VERY important. I wouldn't trust someone to work-from-home for me if I didn't already know them.

This kind of work is not reliable. You are better off building your own blog or website from home, as I did.

YES- there are tons of great, legitimate ways to make money at home. Try Elance, Odesk, Guru.com.... Those are legit and I make a full-time income on one of those sites alone. You can also try Demand Media and Constant Content if you like to write at all. Hope that helps! You can literally be making money in a day or so if you set up a good, professional profile on these sites and start bidding on work. People are hiring for all sorts of things including virtual assistants and writers.

You can find some staff work online. Just be careful though to not be scammed. There are a lot of frauds online. Choose wisely.
