Ways to make extra money

Providing a service: Mowing lawns, aerating lawns, power raking lawns, power washing decks/driveways, painting (if you are good at it), child care, newspaper route, coaching, tutoring.

Selling something you own: furniture, electronics, children's clothing and toys, cars, power equipment. Try ebay, craigslist, consignment stores/sales, garage sales.

I can not tell ways to make extra money. But, I can tell one way to make money is farming/agriculture(growing everyday necessary food items). As america has vast land, farming is the best thing to do in bad times and good times. If there is a good planning and willingness to work hard combined with the knowledge on farming and finance(how much of your money and others' money to put in agriculter at the beginnning), it is better than doing any other business. I think farming/agriculture is best because people need it at least 2 times to 3 times everyday. If a product or service of business is essential to consumers, you can easily earn money. You may earn very good return on money more than any return you get doing any other business. Of course, i never did farming. But, somebody told me. With vast land in america, you can even export the food to brazil, russia, china , africa, asia and india in future!!! Think about it.

Very nice informations on making money extra. I too have a few thoughts on this topic -
Blogging: This isn't quick money, but you can make decent money with a little luck and a few months of solid, consistent effort. Believe me, it can be tough and a bit time-consuming, but it can be done.
Sell bottled water : Buy bottled water in bulk and sell it for a dollar where there are a ton of people -- parks, festivals, concerts, etc.
Sell your baked goods: Are you skilled at a few special recipes? Contract your items out for parties, meetings, etc.

Blogging and freelance writing is really good place to start if you know what you are talking. I been doing it for past 2 years and make good extra money. I know many people here do the same as well.

Website building - I do freelance jobs building websites for friends and neighbors and any word of mouth business for cheap.

Craiglist - I always sell/buy stuff from it. Recently, I am getting rid of stuff which we don't need anymore.

I even tried vending machine business and it worked out but I couldn't continue because of personal commitments.

Currently, I am working on my CFP course and plan to expand my horizon as planner later if I get to finish it. My recommendation, always start with what you know and have passion to develop. Don't just jump in anything which you can get hands on.

I agree with your suggestion of Blogging. However, add to it by posting a few "relevant" affiliate links that pay for clicks or subscriptions and you could make money without doing anything more than talking about something you have interest in.

Great list there thanks for that. I am always on the lookout for ways to make extra money and I would have to recommend blogging myself, its enjoyable, it takes time to make money but hang in there and it will pay of.

Blogging is definitely a good way to make money. My Wife has a coupon blog, couponers united on blogger, where she is making about $600 per month by posting coupone deals that people can use to save up to 90% on their grocery bills.
