You will get used to it...and then the thought of taking on any debt will become anathema.
I'm in the same boat, just made the final payment on my student loan last week I've been debating about what to do with the extra income I have now. Part of me wants to just increase the amount I put into my Roth IRA, but then part of me wants to do something where I'll have access to the money before retirement. I've been thinking about Lending Club but I need to investigate the tax situation more.

We've been cash and carry for bout 10-15 years now. Only thing I would borrow on now would be an appreciating asset such as investment real estate.
