    If Amazon Prime is a membership, is my TIME magazine subscription also a membership? What about my Comcast cable bill?

    I guess the way I was thinking about it was a club vs. a service. Anyone can use Amazon. You don't have to join Prime to do so. But you must subscribe to use Netflix.

    If we start listing subscriptions as well as memberships, my list would be a lot longer.

      AARP - read the publications and get use out of them, sometimes use the discounts
      Gym - use several times a week

      We dropped our AAA membership a few years ago when our auto insurance offered the roadside benefits for around $10/yr.

          Food Co-op
          Farm Co-op (we buy our propane through this, as well as animal feed)
          Costco
          AAA

          Farm Co-op membership is free. Food Co-op pays a dividend that has always covered the membership fee.
