  • credit report question

Where do you all go to get your credit report/score? I would prefer doing it online. I know you are entitled to a free credit report once per year, but I don't believe it includes your score.
Any suggestions for keeping up with our (DH and I) credit reports and scores is appreciated.
Just wondering what others here do about that.

    Thanks,
    Marsha

annualcreditreport.com is the site for the free reports. You can get one from each of the 3 companies each year. What many people do is get one every 4 months rotating through the companies.

To get your score, go to myfico.com. It costs a few dollars. There are places where you can get it free by signing up for some 30-day trial of a service but you have to be sure and cancel before the trial runs out or you get nailed for the bill. I'd rather just pay a few bucks.

Thanks Steve. Good suggestions. I have got into that trap you mentioned before and I wanted to avoid that. So I will try your suggestion. I want to monitor our reports more closely, but not have to pay a huge amount for it.

If you google "My Fico discount code" you will find a 20% coupon to save you some more money.

MyFico is who I've used in the past. It's under $10 a month to monitor just one of your scores. However, if you want to get all of your scores it will cost you about $45 (for all three scores and cr. reports). I haven't seen where they sell the scores by themselves. I don't know if there is something out there cheaper?

I've done the 30-day trial too. An email is sent when it's about to expire.

You can get your score for free at eloan's free credit report section and also monitor it monthly for $30 per year. I dont think it's the authentic brand name FICO but it's close enough. My husband and I use that.

I get my credit reports from annualcreditreport.com
