US existing home sales unexpectedly rise in February

Some of the people on the forums are going to hate this comment, BUT I read in the economist yesterday that roughly 10% of the increase in housing prices in the Western world is due to immigration.

And the argument makes sense - more people means you need more housing. People need places to live regardless of whether they are native born or new immigrants.
