Although I'm here in Dubai for oil-field-related work, I see this as a great purchase for the tourism side of Dubai. Now, when folks talk about Dubai, they'll add this to the list of "only 7 star hotel in the world, tallest building in the world, indoor ski slope, man-made palm-shaped island, and richest horse race in the world."
Great move on the Sheikh's part. If it doesn't work out, he can sell the car or just put it inside the World's largest mall (being built) as an attraction and curiosity.
