  • Great Deals On Used Cars

While large numbers of people are taking advantage of the "same as employee" and other auto discounts being offered by car manufacturers, the real saving money opportunities are on the side lot where all the trade-ins are kept. According to USA Today, a steady stream of new car buyers is swamping dealers with trade-ins. This glut of used cars is expected to deflate prices further than normal meaning now may be a great time to look for that second hand car.

Most of the trade-ins are the result of the extremely successful "employee discount promotions" offered on many 2005 models. This promotion gives buyers the same price that automakers' employees are offered and has been so successful that a number of automakers have extended it even though it was supposed to end at the beginning of this month.

Since new cars lose a huge amount of their value the second they are driven off the dealer lot, buying a quality used car that is a few years old is a great way to save a tremendous amount of money.
