Blog edit bug

When I edit my comment in the blogs, it will erase it.

Hope this gets fixed soon because my spelling and grammar is horrible, and so I use edit quite a bit.

Strange. I couldn't reproduce this. Editing my own comment worked. In any case, I just set up something that should email me when/if it doesn't work so should be fixed soon enough!

BA's not crazy.... I just typed a really nice response and the whole thing got wiped out because I wanted to add one word. I tried to outsmart the system by copying and pasting my new response, but I still got a blank entry. I had to post it as a new reply instead.

Still can't figure out why I have to switch browsers to reply to MonkeyMama's blog either. Only hers! I can't use IE.

Fixed! It happened when a comment was updated that was longer than a certain length. Also the change I made was pretty significant so it will probably have fixed whatever problem IE was having with monkeymamas posts. Let me know.

No luck on the IE/MonkeyMama issue. I still get "If you want to be notified of additional comments, you will need to enter your email address." I do know from using other computers that something is missing when I go to the comment section. I think I have to type a number or something? That's not there. I refuse to give up my dinosaur running 2K and IE 6.

I'll test the other fix later - I have no comments to make at the moment!

Yes, I'm logged in and can comment on everyone's blog except hers. I have to switch to Firefox to comment. All my info is pre-filled in the boxes, but it still gives me that error. It's been like this for as long as I can remember - nothing new.

I've had that issue with monkeymama's blog before, too. It has not happened in quite some time.

Could it the version of IE that you are using?

Seems to be working on my end, although it was short comment. I've had several other comments not work earlier. They were longer comments though, if that means anything.

It does that to me too if I'm in any other browser than FireFox. I'm not sure if it's only MM's blog, because I think I've had it happen on others as well. The only way to get it to work is to uncheck the subscribe box - but then of course you don't get notified of new comments.

I've had it happen to me regardless of which blog it was. I just couldn't edit at all. BUT, hopefully it's all fixed now. Thanks for responding so quickly.
