I talked to ING also and they said they can't predict the future. They said that they dont compete with anyone else. They go at their own pace. So dont look for them matching HSBC or Emigrant. I told him that i have alot of money in this ING account and ill probably transfer it into Emigrant, and he replied saying that would be a good idea because you want to get the most out of your money.

Re: ING will NOT match competitors
One thing I am really upset about with Emigrant....they have a credit card and they advertised it as if they were paying 1.4 % back on purchases. I have a Discover card and another card that pays me back a certain % when I use them. So, I decided to get a card from Emigrant (Juniper bank) and guess what ....Now I learn that you have to have $10,000 as a balance to get 1.4% back on your purchases. If you pay off your balance every month you will get 0.4%...that is baloney.....

Believe it or not... I concede .....I can no longer endorse ING!
I still hate Emigrant - but its hard to argue with their rate.
I estimate in one year we would take in an extra $500 in interest *over* what ING would give us!

LOL! I am my avatar! I do that all the time! I read somewhere that people who foot tap or swing their legs like that tend to be slimmer than people who just sit. And your 91 year old aunt is proof that it also makes you live longer!
Hmmm... maybe we're onto somethin?

Re: ING will NOT match competitors
My aunt is slimmer and she attributes it to shaking that foot!!! Me? It's a nervous habit. I'm not fat or overweight, but I could stand to lose a few pounds. Perhaps I should shake both feet in unison. Then I wouldn't be able to cross my legs. Hee haw LOL.
