  • Countrywide?

I was wondering why countrywide isn't posted on here?
I am new to this site, but i have heard bad things about countrywide lately....thing is people don't know that countrywide mortgage and savings are seperate entities!

IF you have less than $10k which is very unlikely...
You have interest 2.95% APY 3.00%
    Over $10k you have
interest rate 4.46% and APY of 4.75%
    Min deposit is $1k.

Countrywide's 'savingslink' account offering does not appear here due to the parameters established for this listing. If an account requires $10K or more to open or $10K or more to earn a respectable rate of interest, then it does not qualify.

I have visited the site and noted that, while this true of their savings offering, their current money market is offering a rate with terms that qualify and so I will add it to the list today.

            • BTC; To be exact, FNBO'S APR is 3.78 and the APY IS 3.85. I was surprised when I saw that. I also got a letter from them. Right now until March, my brick and mortar money market is earnng 4.60APY. Who knows what it will be next month. The branch manager said it is at 3.75 now.

              • Looks like ProvidentDirect hasn't changed their rates since 11/07. So it hasn't reflected all the recent rate drops yet.

                    • As low as these rates may look; they're better than the bank's rates. You have to take what is there.

Thanks for trying to lift our spirits, but I think most of us are still bummed about the drastic decreases in APY.

Poundwise, I'm surprised anytime you do an update and HSBC isn't among them.
